Rick Astley, among other things

  • Stealing this link from Seth Godin's blog, it's just too good to pass up, Will Draw Anything for $2, a website where a comic does just that and then displays all of them online. Head to page 3 to see his drawing for when the request was made to illustrate "Rick Astley Never Giving Someone Up"
  • While on the topic of artsyness- a while back I came across Etsy, basically an online market where people sell their paintings, pictures, crafts, jewelry, anythings. A lot of shopping temptation and a lot of admirable talent- and a great way to be unique.
  • What will I do without my beloved Scrabulous? This article discusses Hasbro's lawsuit and their mission to protect their famed game. The good news about the article? I just read a version is available to buy for your ipod. I can remain a geek, phew. p.s.- scrabulous made it onto Marie Claire's 101 Sexy List. just an f.y.i.
  • I remember reading Randy Pausch's "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams" lecture and being incredibly moved and inspired. If you aren't familiar with it, you can watch it on the YouTube video I have provided below. I could talk and talk about trivial things-wanting to star in ad campaigns and the handbag of my dreams, but it is the wisdom and action of good hearted humans like him that constantly bring me back to earth and make me realize what matters at the end of the day. I think it's only appropriate to celebrate and honor Randy Pausch. Liz just sent me this article, I warn you about reading it in public...because we all know there is nothing like some mid-day desk tears. The premise of his "Last Lecture," was bold and more importantly, his words were insightful and colored by his passion for life. His impact will not be forgotten.

"So my next piece of advice is, you just have to decide if you're a Tigger or an Eeyore. I think I'm clear where I stand on the great Tigger/Eeyore debate. Never lose the childlike wonder. It's just too important. It's what drives us."- Dr. Randy Pausch

I agree completely,

Jaci
