It looks like come April I"ll have improv 3x a week after work, I have my practice group on Monday nights, I'm starting level three at Upright Citizen's Brigade next Wednesday and I have plans to sign up for a Thursday night musical improv course at Chicago City Limits. Thus, I'll need the morning to get my fitness in. Plus I think it'd be so nice to wake-up with something invigorating, then work feels like a part of the day and not just 'your day.' It will add a lot more dimension to those 24 hours. I also plan on getting Reebok Easy Tones to walk from work to improv, there is no better city in the world for walking than NYC. You never get bored as the blocks go by.
The only other thing I'd like to round out my schedule is a weekly piano lesson. Is there time though? I like to reserve my weekends for adventures and mini-getaways, especially during the summer. I guess we'll see.
Recently both Carly and Cara have picked up weekly obligations, Cara is taking a pottery class and Carly is taking event management courses at GW (in addition to regular weekend Pilates with Mark.) I also love reading about Dana's sewing classes and Janice's rock climbing journeys. Essentially- I'm stressing the idea of continually challenging yourself to learn and grow beyond your years of required education. Just because you finish college doesn't mean it's time to stop gaining more knowledge or talent. If anything, now is the time to hone in on what you truly want to learn more about, you never know where a new hobby can take you-
Classes/Courses/Things to Learn and Do in the near future:
- Piano
- Knitting
- Yoga/Pilates something to quiet my crazy brain
- Sketch Comedy Writing (at UCB)
- Graphic Design (I want to brush up on my Quark skills and learn InDesign)
- Features Writing/Fashion Writing course/seminar (something you'd find on Mediabistro.com)
- and to be blatantly honest, I really want to become a Passion Party Consultant. It's completely empowering to women, I really see it as a service to others. I think I have the selling spirit as well.

is this still share day? do i have to comment?
anyway, i would love to take dance lessons, but i fear that 24 (almost 25) years of gangly awkardness have left me a lost cause
and i would like to become a decent runner so i plan on signing up for some races this summer
"have" is so forceful. "suggested" comments. muahaha.
Umm I do recall Bruce Bider casting you in the "dancers" for "Bells Are Ringing"
Clearly this means he saw something in you, I vote go- for- it.
i think that was my consolation prize for not getting a main part. ahh the memories of our days in the theatre...
i would just like to say that i, too, aspire to learn piano and knitting and yoga. we are like extra curricular dream weaving twins. or something.
I, also, have been SERIOUSLY considering yoga for MONTHS. I feel like it's really what I need to for an all around relax/fitness session, two areas of my life that are seriously lacking. For some reason though, I'm sort of scared of it and I don't even really know why. This consideration has been heightened in the last week because I am reading eat pray love...but seriously I think we need to live out our Yoga fantasies.
May I also recommend spinning and water aerobics? Both good for quieting your brain and having some fun :)
