this OR that

One of my favorite easy games/icebreakers is "This or That"- the game revolves around the premise of establishing two associated options and seeing who is in accordance with YOUR choice. I have some standard "go-to" This or That's  that I always throw out there, but funny enough at the given time when I am playing what I select could differ. This is most valid with my trusted "Grilled Cheese or Peanut Butter and Jelly." These days it is most definitely pb&j, especially with crunchy peanut butter. I eat that for dinner at least 2x a week. (p.s. I'm very euro in that I eat a bigger lunch and lighter dinner... not so much by choice but by the fact that I am so hungry by 2pm when I can get my free lunch at work that I feast like a king and am not really hungry for the rest of the day)

So friends, today we play This or That, for Thursday Shareday! Warning: Some choices WILL be difficult.
Important note: sometimes we play contextually but these are pretty straight forward, answer "Which do you favor over the other"

I will reveal my answers in the comments section tomorrow and perhaps whoever agrees with most of my choices will win a prize of sorts. (I got Season 2 of Damages on DVD for free and am looking to get rid of it.) (No that's a joke, I promise the prize is soooo much cooler than Season 2 of Damages!!!) (Will you still participate if it IS Season 2 of Damages? I don't want low participation due to the fact that it is Season 2 of Damages) (But it's not Season 2 of Damages) (What if I autograph it?) (What if I autograph Ted Danson's name on it???) (Speaking of Ted Danson....)

THIS OR THAT

Steve Guttenberg v. Tom Selleck?

Saved by The Bell or Full House?

Pizza or French Fries?

Monica or Rachel? (from Friends)

Beer or Liquor?

Lake or Beach?

City Bus or Subway/Metro?

Appetizer or Dessert?

Christmas or Halloween?

Tina Fey or Amy Poehler?

Alec Baldwin or Steve Martin? (Hello Oscar hosts!)

Crazy in Love or Single Ladies?

Stubbing your toe or burning your tongue?

Ace Ventura or Dumb and Dumber?

Winter Olympics or Summer Olympics?

The Berenstein Bears or Dr. Seuss?

Mr. Potato Head  or Mrs.Potato Head ?

Puff Daddy as a name or P.Diddy as a name?

Gak or Floam?

The pickle on the side or the coleslaw on the side?

Answer. Elaborate if you please. Get ready for 8 hours of GLENN CLOSE on DVDDDDDDDDD. No seriously, I hear  Damages is a good show and if it was Season ONE I'd totally keep it. But there's not point in starting with season 2. Unless it's an awesome prize from yours truly,

Now go ahead and take some sides....

1. Steve Guttenberg, solely for his appearance on season 2 of Veronica Mars

2. Full House

3. Pizza

4. Rachel

5. Beer

6. This ones really hard. I will go Beach, but I do love the calmness of hanging by a lake.

7. Subway

8. Appetizer, 100%

9. Christmas

10. Amy Poehler. Fey's tendency to earn undeserved Emmy's relly turned me against her.

11. Alec Baldwin

12. Crazy in Love

13. I prefer neither. But I guess I would go with burning your tongue. Stubbing your toe has a longer lasting damage, especially if the nail was affected. Also, injuries involving loss of finer or toenails really freak me out.

14. Ace Ventura

15. Summer Olympics. Gymnastics!

16. Dr. Seuss

17. Mr. Potato Head. I don't need feminism to affect my toys.

18. Puff Daddy. Kickin' it old school.

19. Play dough (i know this is in direct violation of the rules, but both Gak and Floam smelled awful)

20. Much like the beloved Snookie, Pickles all the way.

I'm watching Pretty Woman, and I thought of a this or this...

Vivian in the black cocktail dress, or in the red, formal, opera dress?

I may have to go with the black dress.

what do you think?

Full House- really hard. Went back and forth on that for a while. My instinct was Saved by The Bell but ultimately I think my heart is with Full House.

Pizza-if you read the blog, you know.

Monica- had more depth as a character and was therefore funnier

Liquor- it's my love for a dirty martini

Beach- If I was from Lakeside,NY things would be different

City Bus- I need to see the world around me

Appetizer- Nachos? Fried Calimari? Pigs in a blanket? Spinach and Artichoke Dip? vs.... Cake? umm. yea, clearly appetizer.

Christmas- Halloween, you come in a close 2nd

Amy Poehler- RICKKKKKKKKKK sketch and founding member of UCB!

Alec Baldwin- his voice, his look, everything about him

Crazy in Love- something nostalgic about the launch of Ms. Beyonce's solo career

Stubbing your toe- doesn't last as long

Dumb and Dumber- Lloyd Christmas' haircut alone makes me laugh forever

Summer Olympics- GYMNASTICS!!!!

The Berenstein Bears- Growing up, my Nan would take us to the bookstore around the corner from my house and buy us the latest BB book as a treat. I have so many and a great fondness for them as a result.

Mrs.Potato Head- I love the bulging eyes she has with like purple eyelids

Puff Daddy- it's the most ridiculous and there fore my favorite

Floam- it could take forms

The pickle on the side - heart a good deli pickle
